2026 Opening Day Announcements!
Opening Weekend
I’m excited for opening weekend! We will be open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. If you haven’t yet paid your dues please log in to your account here: Manage Account – Kent Swim and Tennis Club to pay your dues. Dues must be paid in full to use the club and its amenities.
Trash and Recycling
Did you know that if our recycling is contaminated with trash the club is billed for the contamination? Please make sure to properly rinse out and recycle items that can be recycled (in the blue bins) and throw away non-recyclable items in the gray cans. If you do your part you can help keep our costs down.
Closing Time
The club’s closing time does not mean it is time to get out of the pool and head for the showers. It means that no one is in the club except for our employees who are performing their closing procedures. Please plan according to have your area cleaned up and belongings packed up to leave at the designated closing time. This will help us manage our payroll costs this year and allow our employees to get home at a reasonable hour.
Team Signups
Swim team registration is up and running and tennis and water polo will be going live in the near future. If you are looking for fun, team building activities for your children to be involved with this summer consider joining swim, tennis, and/or water polo…it is a guaranteed win!
Safety
The safety of our owners and guests is a priority for the club. Please make sure you have familiarized yourself with the rules and remember that our lifeguards are here for your safety and their judgement is to be followed and respected. Key items:
- This year we are introducing a height-based swim test. All children who are under the published height must pass the swim test to be designated as a proficient swimmer. The guards will be happy to explain the new process to help keep our children safe. This test applies even if you passed the swim test last year or are on the swim team. No exceptions!
- Non proficient swimmers (as determined by a lifeguard) must be accompanied by a responsible person (a 15 year or older proficient swimmer) who is also in the water within arms reach of the non-proficient swimmer.
- Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are permitted (except on designated float days).
- Deep end and diving board use is prohibited to all swimmers with flotation devices.
- Life guards may, at their discretion, require pool users to take a swimming proficiency test. This applies to individuals who may have previously passed the test, as spending a day swimming can cause exhaustion.
